Promoting inclusion and visibility of women-owned MSMEs through digital access
About the Program
Micro-enterprises, mostly owned by women, currently receive little attention because they are considered to have little impact on the regional economy. Most of these female entrepreneurs face difficulties in accessing capital and obtaining support for digital capacity development.
DIVA UMKM ('Encouraging Inclusion and Visibility of Women's MSMEs through Digital Access') is a collaboration between Kota Kita and Jalatera, supported by the Internet Society Foundation. This program will involve women, including women with disabilities, as MSME owners in Surakarta City, Karanganyar Regency, and Klaten Regency. The program aims to increase the capacity of female MSME owners and develop an effective and sustainable capacity-building model.
A total of 420 female entrepreneurs have participated in a series of training sessions on business digitalization, including branding and packaging, digital marketing, product photography and video, and financial digitalization.

Involving 426 women MSME owners, including 64 women with disabilities.
Covering 14 sub-districts in 3 cities: Surakarta, Karanganyar, and Klaten

In addition to individual training, the program also encourages collaborative marketing strategies through the development of a local marketplace platform integrated with the village website.
