From Confusion to Opportunity: Sprei Adem as a Pillar of Strength
Behind the success of a former employee’s business lies a story of struggle and self-discovery after stepping out of the comfort zone. Who would have thought that Ida Nur Yanti, fondly called Ida, started her journey after deciding to resign from her job? The year 2021 marked the birth of Sprei Adem. More than just selling products, she wanted to bring comfort to people’s sleep. “When people buy bedsheets, the first thing they ask is always: ‘Mbak, is the fabric cool and breathable?’” she recalled. From that simple question came the name Sprei Adem—a direct answer to what many people truly need: sheets that are cool, breathable, and high-quality.
A New Hope for a Growing Business
This inspiring story began when Ida found herself in a dilemma after resigning from her office job. She wanted to remain active and earn an income, even while focusing on her family. The idea of starting a bedsheet business crossed her mind. “With clothes, you need a lot of patterns, but bedsheets are simpler,” she explained.
A casual stroll through a mall sparked her confidence, leading her to believe that she could forge a new path by creating her own bedsheets. However, her mission extended beyond financial gain; she aimed to empower housewives in her community. With a keen eye for quality, Ida selected the best fabrics, including Japanese cotton and Tencel cotton, known for their coolness and softness. Through Sprei Adem, she not only sells products but also delivers comfort and restful sleep to her customers.

Growing with DIVA, Turning Knowledge into Real Results
Before joining the DIVA UMKM training, Mrs. Ida admitted her business was still in its infancy. Sales relied solely on WhatsApp and word of mouth. There was little structure in her management, and she lacked an understanding of bookkeeping and digital marketing.
Everything changed after she engaged with the DIVA UMKM training. She gained invaluable insights into various aspects of running a business, from bookkeeping and calculating the cost of goods sold (COGS) to mastering product photography techniques. One of her most memorable lessons was realizing the significant impact of lighting on product photos. The bookkeeping module transformed her ability to manage finances effectively, while she learned to apply copywriting techniques to create engaging WhatsApp status updates. Additionally, she leveraged WhatsApp Business and Shopee to broaden her market reach, paving her way into the digital marketplace.

Small Steps, Big Messages from Ida
“Stay motivated. If you fall, get back up. Improve your business little by little. Don’t stop, keep moving, and eventually you’ll find the way.” Ida Nur Yanti’s journey proves that out of confusion, new strength can emerge. Through Sprei Adem, she not only supports her family but also creates opportunities for women around her to thrive. Together with DIVA UMKM, she has grown stronger, more confident, and now stands as an inspiration for many.
