Eggs Transformed into Crackers: A Promising Business Opportunity
Who would have thought that simple eggs, often found on the dining table, could be turned into a special snack with a unique taste and promising business potential? From ordinary farm eggs, once sold only in the market, comes a story of perseverance and courage to innovate, giving birth to the name Fresh Egg Cindelaras. This is the journey of Mrs. Ririn, a resilient woman who proves that determination can turn something small into something of great value.
MSME Level Up, Innovation Knows No Limits
Recognizing untapped potential in the farm eggs she sold, Mrs. Ririn embarked on a journey of experimentation, ultimately creating salted egg crackers. However, her path was fraught with challenges; she encountered numerous setbacks, including crackers that were too dense or overly salty. Undeterred, Bu Ririn continued to refine her recipe, dedicating herself to the pursuit of the perfect cracker—one that would expand beautifully and deliver an exquisite taste.
Gradually, her salted egg crackers began to garner attention, finding their way onto the shelves of major supermarkets and stores across Solo, Jogja, and Semarang, including Superindo, Hypermart, Luwes, Progo, Mirota, Aneka Jaya, and Gelael. As her brand gained traction, competition intensified, with many other MSME players entering the market with similar products. In response, Mrs. Ririn innovated once more, introducing free-range egg crackers featuring a richer, more distinctive flavor, while currently working towards obtaining halal certification.

Beyond Just Selling, Bu Ririn Is Ready to Compete in the Digital Market
A pivotal moment in Mrs. Ririn’s journey came when she joined DIVA UMKM, which provided her with essential training on understanding the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). This knowledge proved vital, as she previously faced challenges in pricing her products effectively. The training module that resonated most with her focused on COGS calculation, and she has since implemented these strategies in her business. With DIVA UMKM’s support, Mrs. Ririn aspires to expand her online market presence while continuing to enhance the quality and accessibility of her offerings.
“Running a business requires consistency. Success doesn’t come instantly; it must be pursued step by step,” she said.

From Crackers to Hope, One Step at a Time
From the humble beginnings of farm eggs to the creation of unique, sought-after crackers, Mrs. Ririn’s story is not just about business; it embodies hope and perseverance. Each cracker she produces stands as a testament to her entrepreneurial journey, illustrating how consistent effort can lead to success one step at a time.
