Yayasan Kota Kita is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We strive to improve the user experience for everyone continuously and apply relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance Standards

The divaUMKM.id website endeavours to comply with the four principles of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA:

1. Perceivable - Information can be accessed through various sensory means
2. Operable - Users can interact with content using different input methods
3. Understandable - Content and navigation are easy to comprehend
4. Robust- Compatible with assistive technologies

Evaluation Methods

The divaUMKM.id website was assessed for accessibility from August to October 2025, covering 58 WCAG 2.1 Level AA criteria. Tests were conducted on desktop and mobile browsers across Windows, Android, and iOS, including:

1. Expert audit through manual and automated evaluation
2. Assistive Technology Testing with screen readers and other devices
3. User Testing involving people with visual impairments

Testing with Users with Disabilities

In August 2025, we conducted accessibility testing involving three users with visual impairments, including those with total blindness and low vision. Testing was performed using assistive technologies such as NVDA and TalkBack to ensure the website is accessible.

Accessibility Best Practices

The divaUMKM.id website has implemented various accessibility technicalities, including:

• Hierarchical heading structure
• Alternative text descriptions (alt text) for images
• Multiple screen readers Compatibility
• Keyboard navigation
• Sufficient colour contrast
• Button and form labels

Limitations and Areas for Improvement

At the time this statement was created, there were several sections of the website with accessibility limitations, including:

• Improvement of alternative text descriptions (alt text) on photos and images to be more descriptive
• Search results notification by screen readers
• Background video without verbal description
